Built upon a strong interdisciplinary foundation across basic sciences, mathematics, engineering and life sciences, this BEng(BME) programme covers a wide scope of modern BME disciplines and a variety of BME-related experiential learning opportunities. Such inclusive training allows students to learn how to apply engineering principles to advance biomedical practices and research; and to establish professional, ethical and social responsibilities on health-related issues.
The BEng(DS&E) programme will equip students with a solid foundation and practical skills to pursue career and research in the fast-growing data science and data engineering field, The programme also provides an option to take a minor in a data-intensive domain so that students can manifest their data science and engineering skills with specific domain knowledge.
The BEng(EngSc) programme teaches multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills in engineering and other non-technical fields. The programme features a flexible structure with five areas (majors) of concentration. Students can pursue second major in one of the remaining four majors of BEng(EngSc), or other second major and minor options offered by other faculties. With broadened horizons and broad-based training, students will be well prepared not only to continue their studies and engage in research work, but also to embark on challenging careers in engineering, business, education, government as, for instance, scientist/researcher, consultant in biotechnology, energy, operations, etc.
