What You’ll Study

If students are interested in studying human behaviour and society or wish to become a future leader in public service, international relations, education, industry and commerce, the Bachelor of Social Sciences should be the choice. The flexible programme structure provides students with freedom to decide which discipline they wish to major in after the first year of study, without any quota constraint or selection. Here’s a standard path for BSocSc students:

Internship Programme

The Social Innovation and Global Citizenship (SIGC) internship programme offers students hands-on experience with Community Partners, fostering practical skills and awareness of social issues.

Pre-Internship: Training session to equip students with essential skills and knowledge.

During Internship: Support is provided by both workplace supervisors and Academic Tutors, guiding students as they navigate their roles.

After Internship: With post-internship debriefing sessions, interns are encouraged to update their resumes, and set new career goals.

Overseas Exchange Opportunities

Global Citizenship (GC) graduation requirements encourage students to take part in outgoing exchange programmes to broaden their exposure and enrich their overseas learning experience. Each year, more than 250 Social Sciences students benefit from the exchange programmes.

Career Prospects

Graduates have pursued careers in government, politics, public corporations, community organisations, the media, and the private sector. Alternatively, you may consider pursuing postgraduate studies at renowned universities locally and worldwide.
