International Baccalaureate Diploma Grade 4 in a language other than English
GCE

Grade E in a language other than English at GCSE / IGCSE / GCEO / GCE AS-level / GCE A-level

(For GCSE/IGCSE which uses the new 9-1 grading system, Grade 3 will be taken as equivalent to Grade E, for the purpose of satisfying the above)

SAT / AP

A score of 600 in a language other than English in the SAT Subject Test; or

Grade 3 in a language other than English in the Advanced Placement Test

Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) A score of 180 at HSK Level 3 or above
HKDSE

Level 3 in Chinese Language; or

Grade E in a language subject under Category C

HKALE

Grade E in AS Chinese Language and Culture or AL Chinese Literature

HKCEE

Level 2 in Chinese Language;

Grade E in Chinese Language before 2007; or

Grade E in a language other than Chinese Language or English Language

Singapore

Grade C in a language other than English at Singapore GCE O-level; or

Grade E in a language other than English at Singapore GCE A-level

Canada A pass in a language other than English at Grade 10 level or above in the Canadian high school curriculum
Other National Examinations A pass in a language other than English at Grade 10 level or above in one of the national examinations
