What You’ll Study

Our programme therefore places a strong emphasis on understanding the dynamics of cities and systems of cities; and the way public policy, urban management and design interventions interact positively and negatively with the spontaneous social and economic processes that make up city life. Its four-year curriculum highlights research, applied statistical analysis, observation and communication, and covers theories and methods, design thinking and design skills. Through integrated problem-based learning, you will analyse urban problems from multiple perspectives and propose appropriate policy, regulatory, design and other interventions. Upon graduation, you will acquire skills in spatial analysis that allow you to investigate the urban economy, society and environment, and become an expert in understanding how land, property development, government policy and laws shape cities.
