Students admitted to HKU’s undergraduate programmes who achieve 44 or above in IB Diploma will be eligible for a scholarship to cover up to full tuition fee. Eligible students will be shortlisted and nominated for the selection committee's consideration on a rolling basis.
This Scholarship is set up by the Education Bureau, the Government of the HKSAR as one of a series of measures to enhance the professionalism of English teachers in Hong Kong. The aim of the Scholarship is to attract persons proficient in English to pursue relevant local bachelor degree programmes and/ or teacher training programmes which will qualify them to become English teachers on graduation.
First year undergraduate students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering with excellent admissions result will be invited to join the Dean’s Club, and they will also receive the Dean’s Award for Engineering Students to support their overseas learning activities.
