During your first two years, you will complete introductory courses in accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, corporate finance, and investments and portfolio management. Complete your degree with more specialised and industry related courses in equity valuation, alternative asset classes, lending and credit, financial regulations and compliance, understanding current issues in finance with new topics like ESG in finance and family office. Study practical courses under leaders in the field, including a final-year capstone course that challenges you to analyse and manage a portfolio based on the investment guidelines and risk policies for real-life institutional or high-net-worth clients.
Participate in overseas exchange experiences and apply for industry-sponsored internships in your second or third year. Benefit from frequent networking activities with market-leading experts, including coffee chats, round table talks, career seminars and visits to AMPB firms.
Students are expected to complete the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute Paper 1 examination in their third year or fourth year of studies. The accreditation will give the students a leading edge when entering into the finance and investment industry.
