Oshi is a Year 1 Bachelor of Engineering student who grew up in India. She chose HKU out of all the other universities because of its continuous excellence demonstrated in academia and its wonderfully diverse international community. She was a recipient of HKU Foundation Entrance Scholarship and she believes coming to HKU was the best decision she made in her life.
“Coming to HKU was hands-down one of the best decisions of my life. I managed to come out of my bubble here, opened up, embraced the colourful campus life, made friends from all over the world and embarked on a journey to self-discovery. I love the curriculum as it allows you to extol your creativity. It’s my freshman year but I’ve already worked on several group projects that involved the inception of brand-new products, ideas and innovations. The flexibility allows me the possibility to not only major in Computer Science but also in Finance which I’ve always had a keen interest in. The BEng (CS) programme at HKU provides me the perfect ground to learn and thrive in an intellectually opulent environment with resources to both outgrow and satiate the curiosity of a determined individual. The professors, tutors, academic advisors, coordinators and the teaching assistants are extremely prompt and ever ready to help solve your doubts.”
