ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT

An overall band score of 6.5 or above in the IELTS Academic Module, with no less than 6.0 in both the Writing and Speaking components, achieved in the same attempt. The test must be taken within 2 years prior to start of your programme (September 1).

Note:
The IELTS Indicator (home edition) / IELTS Online is not accepted to fulfill the English language requirement.

For tests taken on or after January 21, 2026:

An overall score of 5.0 or above in the TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT), with no less than 5.0 in both the Writing and Speaking components, achieved in the same attempt.

For tests taken before January 21, 2026:

An overall score of 95 or above in the TOEFL internet-based test (TOEFL iBT), with no less than 5.0 in both the Writing and Speaking components, achieved in the same attempt, under the legacy TOEFL iBT scoring scale. 

The test must be taken within 2 years prior to start of your programme (September 1).

Note:
The TOEFL ITP, TOEFL ITP Plus and TOEFL Home Edition tests are not accepted to fulfill the English language requirement.

(a) Grade 5 in English Language A (HL/SL);

(b) Grade 6 in English Language B (HL/SL)

Note:
“Higher Level” is abbreviated as “HL”, and “Standard Level” as “SL.”

(a) Grade B or Grade 6 or above in English Language at GCSE or GCE O Level;

(b) Grade  B or Grade 6 or above in English First Language with Speaking and Listening component at IGCSE; or

(c) Grade C or above in English Language or English Literature at GCE AS Level or A Level

Note:
General Paper is not accepted.

Section score of 610 or above in the Reading and Writing section of the SAT, achieved in the same attempt.

(a) Band 2 or above in a 2-unit English course in Australian Higher School Certificate;

(b) SA or above in a 4-credit English subject in Queensland Certificate of Education;

(c) C or above in a 20-credit Stage 2 English course in South Australian Certificate of Education;

(d) 30 or above in a 3- or 4-unit English course in Victorian Certificate of Education; or

(e) C or above in a Year 12 English course in Western Australian Certificate of Education

NCEA Literacy
10 credits at Level 2 or above*, made up of:
5 credits in reading
5 credits in writing

(a) Grade C or above in H1 General Paper in Singapore GCE A-level; or

(b) Grade C or above in Knowledge and Inquiry
