Programme Introduction
The two programmes offer a solid foundation and a wide range of courses in advanced topics. They are designed to train students' problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, ensuring they have the skills to tackle complex challenges in their careers. We offer various learning experiences like hands-on projects and internships in addition to classroom teaching, providing our students with practical experience to supplement theoretical knowledge. The design of our curricula stresses flexibility, allowing students to select from a large variety of discipline electives and pursue a minor study or second major for enrichment purposes, catering the diverse interests and passions of our students.
The Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes fundamental concepts such as mathematics, programming languages, algorithms, and data structures, as well as advanced topics such as computer organization, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. Students can specialize in areas such as AI and robotics, big data analytics, cybersecurity, financial computing, systems and networking, and theoretical computer science, and benefit from opportunities for hands-on learning and project-based work.
The Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science covers a broad range of topics related to AI and data science, including mathematics, statistics, programming, and database management systems, as well as advanced topics such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. The interdisciplinary approach ensures that students develop a strong foundation in essential subjects, enabling them to tackle complex data analysis, design intelligent systems, and develop cutting-edge AI solutions.
Students will participate in internship and final-year project, where they can apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting or solve a specific problem in the field. Students can also apply to undertake a research study under the guidance of a professor through the research fellowship scheme.
With high demand for their skills, our graduates can expect a wealth of opportunities for career growth. Graduates can pursue careers in a variety of industries as machine learning engineers, software developers, data analysts/engineers, AI consultants, cybersecurity specialists, and more.
Moreover, our programmes provide a strong foundation for students who aspire to pursue postgraduate studies in the field.
