Programme Introduction

The two programmes offer a solid foundation and a wide range of courses in advanced topics. They are designed to train students' problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, ensuring they have the skills to tackle complex challenges in their careers. We offer various learning experiences like hands-on projects and internships in addition to classroom teaching, providing our students with practical experience to supplement theoretical knowledge. The design of our curricula stresses flexibility, allowing students to select from a large variety of discipline electives and pursue a minor study or second major for enrichment purposes, catering the diverse interests and passions of our students.

What You’ll Study

The Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science covers a comprehensive curriculum that includes fundamental concepts such as mathematics, programming languages, algorithms, and data structures, as well as advanced topics such as computer organization, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. Students can specialize in areas such as AI and robotics, big data analytics, cybersecurity, financial computing, systems and networking, and theoretical computer science, and benefit from opportunities for hands-on learning and project-based work.

The Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science covers a broad range of topics related to AI and data science, including mathematics, statistics, programming, and database management systems, as well as advanced topics such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. The interdisciplinary approach ensures that students develop a strong foundation in essential subjects, enabling them to tackle complex data analysis, design intelligent systems, and develop cutting-edge AI solutions.

Exciting Opportunities

Students will participate in internship and final-year project, where they can apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting or solve a specific problem in the field. Students can also apply to undertake a research study under the guidance of a professor through the research fellowship scheme.

Professional Recognition

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science has been accredited by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. Bachelor of Engineering in AI & Data Science is a new programme, accreditation has been planned and will be sought as soon as the first cohort graduates.
