Programme Description

The MSc(Construction Project Management) programme prepares students for a professional role in the management of construction projects, by introducing the general skills of strategic, organisational and people management, and the technical, financial and administrative skills appropriate to professionals, within the context of the construction process. Courses in the programme combine to cover the procedures involved in the effective management of all phases of construction and the economic, institutional and legal constraints which determine them.

Programme Highlights

• Enhance the ability of students to apply relevant theory to practice and develop project management methodologies to suit different project, environmental and organisational contexts.
• The programme integrates relevant knowledge in construction project management with other disciplines in order to enhance students'professional practice skills.
• Inculcate in students critical thinking, analytical and research skills to investigate issues and problems associated with the management of construction projects in a local, regional and global context.
• Possibility of choosing one of the three majors in Quantity Surveying, Construction Law and Management of Projects.
• Possibility of embarking in construction project management research.   
• The programme is accredited by both international and local professional institutes including RICS, CIOB, HKIS and PAQS.
