First year undergraduate students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering with excellent admissions result will be invited to join the Dean’s Club, and they will also receive the Dean’s Award for Engineering Students to support their overseas learning activities.
The Faculty of Engineering established the Dean’s Club in the academic year 2018-19, as an initiative to attract high calibre students to study BENG programmes in The University of Hong Kong. First year undergraduate students with excellent admissions result will be invited to join the Dean’s Club, and they will be personally mentored by the Dean of Engineering. These students will also receive the Dean’s Award for Engineering Students to support their overseas learning activities, so that they will be nurtured as future leaders with unique experience, outstanding visions and exceptional capabilities.
The Award shall be awarded annually to first year full-time undergraduate students enrolled in UGC-funded programmes at the Faculty of Engineering based on their academic results from the prevailing public examinations for admissions to the University.
The Award shall be tenable for two years (i.e. HK$10,000 in Year 1 and HK$10,000 in Year 2), subject to the awardees’ continued enrolment in the Faculty and satisfactory academic performance being maintained.
No application is required. Eligible Students are automatically considered.
