WANTED: Future Engineers Who Want to Improve People’s Lives!

Have you ever thought about the possibilities of combining “Engineering” and “Healthcare” – the two varying streams together? If you aspire to improve the health and quality of people’s lives as well as to design novel solutions to address the unmet needs in biomedicine, especially for healthy aging, our interdisciplinary Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering (BME) programme is a good fit for you! Offered by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with the LKS Faculty of Medicine, the programme nurtures the next generation of engineers to apply engineering principles and advance biomedical practices and research in real life to develop medical instrumentation, biomaterials, diagnostic and therapeutic devices, and other technologies needed in biology and medicine. What’s more, you will be able to obtain recognition from professional organizations and practise in Hong Kong as well as overseas countries upon completion of your study.

We are glad to have Dr. Shiming Zhang, Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, join the information session and give a presentation on how studying Engineering is, the current trend and demand in the industry, and the uniqueness of our BME programme. There will also be a sharing session with our students. Last but not least, you can ask our representative any questions about admissions to HKU!
